Fact1

there is life in the blood

Leviticus 17:11 "for the life of the body is in its blood. I have given you the blood on the altar to purify you, making you right with the LORD . It is the blood, given in exchange for a life, that makes purification possible." NLT version .

It wasn't till the late 19th century they figured that out . President George Washington died because of medical practices that we now know are bad, one of which is bloodletting they thought it would make him better he lost 40%of his blood.

Fact2

Currents of the sea or paths of the sea as the KJV puts it.

Psalm 8:8

" the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea,

and everything that swims the ocean currents." NLT version

It wasn't until, Matthew Fontaine Maury

(1806-1873) who discovered the currents of the sea "Maury studied navigation, meteorology, winds, and currents. He pored over thousands of ships’ logs and charts. His 1847 Wind and Current Chart of the North Atlantic greatly reduced the lengths of ocean voyages by showing how to take advantage of ocean currents and winds. He shortened sailing time to California by thirty days, to Australia by twenty, and to Brazil by ten. His system of recording oceanographic current and wind data was used worldwide to develop charts for major trade routes."

Fact3

Wash in running water.

Leviticus 15:13 KJV

And when he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean.

One of the best ways to prevent the spread of the flu and other viruses is to wash your hands. Today, this may seem like common sense to many people (even if they don’t all do it properly). Yet it wasn’t until the mid-19th century that some doctors in the United States and Europe began to wash their hands before examining patients—and even then, only in certain cases.

Ignaz Semmelweis, a 19th-century Hungarian doctor who was known as the pioneer of hand-washing. He discovered the wonders of the now-basic hygienic practice as a way to stop the spread of infection in 1847, during an experiment in a Vienna hospital's maternity ward.

There is a bunch more facts I can give you but I think for this post that's enough. You never know I might make it a series of posts with more facts haven't decided yet
